It seemed the dark clouds didn't move an inch since the last time looked up at the sky thirty minutes ago. When I took out the trash earlier, I could feel the breeze though.the way I saw it, it was a good sign. After I finished vacuumed the rug, mopped the kitchen floor and scrubbed the bath tub, the dark clouds had moved away. The tail of the dark cloud was visible between the leaves of oak trees outside my window.
I looked at the thermometer outside my living room window. It said, 60F. Good enough. the sky brighter than an hour ago. And the birds were partying like crazy in the trees.
As I locked the door I was praying there would be no soccer or football practice at the track this morning.
And there were no soccer or football practice,, except a couple of women in tracksuits walking around the track and a man in neon yellow t-shirt working out at the end of the track.
After 45 minutes of core strengthening workout, I ran four laps around the track. I tried to maintain 10:15 min/mile pace, but by the third lap I couldn't keep it up. The pace slid unmercilessly 20 meter into the fourth lap. I found out if I didn't force myself to keep the pace and let my feet slow down, I could pick up the pace again after five or six minutes.
