Since mid Spring this year I've been stopping at Home Depot Garden Center to look at the plants and varieties of small trees. Every week they bring in the new plants. It is amazing how much joy one could experience by just exploring each row of the garden center.
I've missed Lilac Day for the past years. Either I had other plan or I simply forgot about it. But this year we weres at Arnold Aboretum's front gate by at 8:45 00 a.m with Di. Di and her siblings were taking their mother to Mother's Day brunch at 11:30 a.m. We figured by 10:30 a.m
we would be out and best of all we beat the crowd. Well, we were wrong, it wasn't entirely crowded by there many people like us too. Walkers, runners, joggers, dog walkers and nature lovers. Mak would be thrilled if she was there. She loved to be surrounded by trees and plants. Wild plants but they are beautiful, aren't they?
After 20 miles walk this morning. I'm kind of sore now, but I had a great time. Too bad Ginny and Lauren couldn't make it, and Di is working tonight. So, I walked alone, well.....that's not true, actually with 41,999 other walkers.
