A few shots from miles and miles of walk I had last Sunday. The walk ended at Hynes Convention Center where the Boston Health Expo ran into a second day (last day).
I took some free tests/screenings which a couple of the results I need to discuss with my doctor when I see him in August.
I had blood pressure check up and body fat/Body Mass Index at Brigham & Women Hospital pavillion. The blood pressure was excellent. I have 17.2% body fat or 22.4 lb fat, yikes....and 107.6 lean (fat free ) weight. BMI is 23.9% From Newton-Wellesley Hospital pavillion I took Bone Density Screening. My T-Score was -1.5 : my bone mass is 10% to 15% below normal. Where did all those vibrant and colorful vegetables and fruitsI've been eating go? And how about the vitamins and free weight excercise that I've been faithfully taking? Boy...getting old is a bitch. On positive and bright side, I did well on Fall Risk Test at Mass General Hospital pavillion.
Finally I had my opportunity to get some shots of bronze frogs at Tadpole Playground without the children in sight.
Make Ways for Ducklings sculptures were installed in 1987 by sculpture Nancy Schon.
The characters were inspired by Robert McCloskey children book by the same title. One of the ducklings, Jack, was stolen in 1999 and later was found Boston College's lirary cubicle. Boston .
Every year they have parade on Mother's Day.
